What We Have Done So Far
Overall it has been a successful year raising a total sum of just over £20,000. About £14,000 was in the form of subscriptions, and another £4400 was raised by the various events held over the year. In addition almost £1000 came from second hand uniform sales.
So where did this money go?
In all, our donations to the school were in excess of £24,000: £3000 for the Jubilee Garden, nearly £9000 for a Grand Piano for the new music block, £1500 to the Drama Dept. for some new staging, another £1500 to CDT dept towards new equipment and £3300 for new tents and stoves required for expeditions.
In addition we have paid £6200 as the first instalment on the new minibus. The remaining instalments will be paid over three years. We have also agreed to fund a new electronic whiteboard, which will be paid for in the near future.
So, as you can see, your support of the BHSA really does help to enhance the facilities provided for the pupils. Thank you for all your contributions last year and I’m sure we can rely on your continued support for the forthcoming year too.
